Barrier or not? What suits your campsite?

Steevan

An automatic barrier may sound like a big investment, but it can make your campsite more professional and take work off your hands.

Especially for campsites and camper sites without a reception, a digital barrier can be a solution. Guests receive a unique QR code and a six-digit backup PIN in the confirmation email and check in themselves.

The advantages are clear: fewer guests calling at night because the barrier is closed, fewer uninvited visitors and a professional look.

But a barrier is not the right choice for every campsite. If you like to welcome guests personally at a small, cosy campsite, a barrier may actually feel distant.

Camping-Beheer lets you switch the barrier feature on or off whenever you want. You can start without a barrier and choose one later. A booking that is fully paid online is confirmed immediately; otherwise you approve the reservation first, after which access is released.

Our advice: look at your site and at your guests' arrival times. If you have many late arrivals and a site where guests cannot easily find their pitch themselves, a digital barrier can make a difference. If you prefer to welcome guests in person, that is at least as valuable.
